3 Lever Mortice Lock Change Wood Door in a Lewes Home

One of ASL Locksmiths Brighton’s jobs was at a home in Lewes to upgrade the security of their interior door. We installed a Union 2077 3 lever mortice sashlock, which is built for wood doors up to 54mm thick. Featuring a brass deadbolt with hardened steel, this model also has an easily reversible latch, which means it can be installed in either a left or right hinged door.

3 lever mechanism sash locks offer an ample amount of privacy where high security is not needed, making them ideal for interior doors in homes like bedrooms and storage rooms. With fewer levers than the 5 lever locks, these keys are relatively easier to duplicate.

Commercial Heavy-duty Door Closer Installation in Hove

ASL locksmiths’ expertise was required for a door closer installation for a commercial property in Hove. We supplied and fitted the door with a 2003V Briton door closer which features an adjustable backcheck, a square cover and flat form armrest. Commercial Forfeiture Repossession in Brighton and Hove

ASL Locksmiths attended an early morning court ordered commercial forfeiture at a property in Brighton & Hove.

Upon gaining entry, we supplied and fitted two strong 3-star platinum APECS barrels, perfect for emergency situations. They bear a BSI 3 star Kitemark, are fire compliant, anti-pick and anti-drill. A high quality lock suitable for securing the property from trespassers. We also supplied dimple keys which are more challenging to tamper with than a standard pick.

A landlord can exercise a right to end the lease and take back possession of a property if the tenant has breached the terms of their lease. It’s prudent to prevent potential damage by discreetly securing the building.

A Busy Week for ASL Locksmiths

ASL has been busy this week but we proud to have completed all the jobs in good time. Here is a selection of locksmith jobs.

One customer was locked out during the night in the pouring rain at 11 PM, we responded very quickly and gained non destructive entry. We retro fitted a bespoke sliding patio door lock. Another job was a complete replacement of all of the hinges on a set of UPVC French doors.

Aside from door locks, we installed a pane of British Standard toughened glass, a replacement to a smashed window. We also carriedo out a UPVC window repair on multiple windows damaged in the storm on Tuesday.

Strengthening Security at a Building Site in Brighton

ASL Locksmiths were contracted for security enhancement at a building site in Brighton. We changed multiple locks on high security doors after the keys had been lost. To increase security on site, we also supplied and fitted a Supra C500 high security key lock box.

Advanced Locksmith Training in Blackburn

With new and advanced models of security locks regularly entering the market, it’s important to keep up with new technology. ASL locksmiths strive to provide customers with the best service possible which includes up-to-date expertise on all the new non destructive tools and techniques.

To sharpen our skills, we enrolled for a three-day advanced course provided by Fortress Locksmith Training in Blackburn. They specialise in NDE or non destructive entry. We were taught new techniques on a 2 day high security cylinder opening course and a 3 day mortice lock opening course.

Locksmithing is not always a one size fits all solution. Aside from owning a large number of specialist tools and having extensive experience, always learning new techniques is a must.

We took home to Brighton new skills from the training and we also met great locksmiths from the Midlands. It was a very positive learning experience. Emergency Locksmith Service in Hove
